Apr 4 “Nana Na Na”

Time for more Beatles.

Their timeless music cheers me --

not the old stuff though.

YouTube video: “The Beatles -- Hey Jude

Cool, just noticed this:  at about the 5:25 point you can hear Paul singing “Take a load off Fannie, put it back on me”, a line from the just-released song  The Weight (The Band:  Music From Big Pink) written by Toronto’s own Robbie Robertson.

More about this performance (via extremepeaks.com):

“Macca sings along live to his vocal from the recorded version, but none of the instrumentation here is live.

“This is one of several takes of Hey Jude from that day; the video version that premiered on David Frost’s show four days later was an edited combination of two of them. The next day, the Beatles went back to Abbey Road to continuing work on their soon-to-be-released  White Album. “

Indeed, the Fab Four here are looking exactly like the 8x10 glossies that were included with the White Album.
